General Information

Valerion Energy is a battery tech company out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, that is trying to change the game using aramid nanofibers. If you have heard of Kevlar, it is the same kind of incredibly strong material but they are using it at a microscopic scale to build better battery components. Their website explains that they are developing a super thin separator technology called ANVIL. The whole point is to make batteries that are safer, cheaper, and way more powerful than what we currently use in electric vehicles. By moving away from rare and expensive minerals, they are aiming to make high-performance batteries more sustainable and easier to produce at a massive scale.
